Valentine’s Day conjures up many fond memories! We all remember exchanging Valentine’s Cards with our classmates and clever figurative expressions like “You’re the apple of my eye” and “Owl love you forever” made us giggle and gave us hope about crushes and budding relationships.
Now you’re watching your children celebrate Valentine’s Day! If cards were optional, would your children receive them or would they get snubbed? As parents, we are constantly asking ourselves if our children are thriving socially. If they aren’t, what is the problem? As children approach adolescence, we must reduce our involvement in setting up playdates and, instead, enable our children to use their own skills to make friends, keep the good ones and eventually, invite people on dates.
Here at Jodie K. Schuller & Associates we can help with just that and so much more. Our social thinking groups target the foundational skills that are required for social success… not just in the classroom but on the playground, on playdates, on first dates and in long-term relationships…Click here to learn more.
