Tessa LaPointe, who was born and raised in San Diego, attended the University of Redlands for undergraduate and graduate school. With her master’s degree in Communicative Disorders, Tessa returned to San Diego to serve the city she has always called home.
With a passion for communication disorders and a love for kids, she found her niche here at Jodie K. Schuller & Associates immediately after graduate school. Tessa has been a member of our work family for the past 11 plus years.
Tessa serves as the Pre-School Director, Social Thinking Director and full-time Speech-Language Therapist for Jodie K. Schuller & Associates. As Pre-School Director, she arranges the evaluations and treatment for the 18 months to 5-year-old population. In her role as a Speech-Language Pathologist and Social Thinking Director, she conducts therapy for children and adults with comprehension, literacy and social communication issues as well as speech production challenges and tongue thrust.
When she is not working, Tessa enjoys spending time with her 4-year old son, Henry, and husband, Nick. While out and about, Tessa is always thinking of fun activities and social scenarios to share and incorporate into her social thinking groups as well
