We have a Dream for your Child!

Dear Parents (who are still on the fence),

We believe your child can be very successful in life! We see him graduating from high school and moving on to college. We see him interacting with his peers and professors – engaging in intellectual discussions. We see him choosing a productive career that will earn him job satisfaction and a healthy income. We believe all this is possible with the right kind of intervention NOW!

In order to reach his academic potential, your child must thoroughly comprehend what he reads. To accomplish that, he must learn to monitor his comprehension and make sure his mental movie is always turned on. He must stop when he doesn’t understand a word or sentence structure and figure out how to repair the breakdown. He must reread what he failed to understand and get to the deeper meaning. He must make a connection with the literature by understanding the characters’ feelings and asking deep questions about their motives. By taking these measures, we believe your child can learn to thoroughly comprehend text!

In order to prove his academic prowess to the world, your child must write powerful essays with excellent spelling and clear sentence structures. This involves planning and organization.  This involves mastery of the spelling rules as well as grammar and punctuation. By developing your child’s written language skills, we believe he will learn to impress his professors, peers and colleagues with his innovative ideas and his powerful written communication.

In order to reach his social potential, your child must learn to engage others in conversation. He must become a master at entering groups and starting conversations about others.

He must learn to give supportive comments and ask follow-up questions. He must learn to segue their responses to telling stories about himself. By learning those skills, we believe your child can become a strong conversationalist and develop the confidence to enter new groups in high school and college and then onto the business world!

Why should you do all these services at once?

Because they are all interrelated! And challenges in one area will impede progress in another!

Why not wait and see if these challenges will go away?

Because every year that goes by widens the gap between your child and his peers and makes his challenges more permanent and more difficult to remediate! And every experience with failure whittles away at your child’s self-confidence.

We will develop a master plan to give your child the skills he needs for social and academic success! We are like an orchestra…the instruments or services are all specialized, and each provides a very important function. But you want all the instruments or services to play in unison to achieve a masterpiece. That is what we project for your child’s life—a masterpiece of social and academic success!
